Our top five Airbnb's

Hi Travel Bugsss! We are thrilled to share with you guys our 5 favorite Airbnb stays. Below you will find our takes on the hospitality of these wonderful homes and their hosts. We have ranked them from 1-5 with 1 being the one we reccomend the most.

5. Williamsburg | New York

We have used Airbnb in Brooklyn something like 7 times now and this is bar far the best. Jonathan was super cool and one of the most amazing local resources/guides I have ever had in New York. In your room, he provides hotel like toiletries and a laminated sheet detailing where you can find best eats, 24 hour grocery, cool clubs and more. This is where you would want to be if you are new to Airbnb and the area of Williamsburg. Only 15 minute train ride to NYC.

Our Review in Airbnb - 5 Stars

"Our Stay with Jonathan was incredible from start to finish. He started by emailing over a list of local hot spots to do pretty much anything you'd want to be doing from dining, exploring, grocery, movie, coffee, you name it. The experience was unlike any other AirBNB and we've have some amazing experiences. Jonathan was friendly, a great conversationalist and it's easy to see that he loves the neighborhood and takes great pride in living there. If you want to live like a local and be treated like most welcome guests, and live like a local....this is it. Everything is as pictured and described and they go above and beyond. A true super host. The L train takes you right into the city and is less than a 10 minute walk away. Getting to work in Chelsea was a BREEZE. Thanks so much!"

4. Florence Flat | Italy

Daniela's cozy flat was clean and she was incredibly sweet. Not only did she provide us with a warm welcome that included our first bottle of wine in the country of Italy, she mailed an article of clothing back to us that we had left behind and refused payment.

Our Review on Airbnb - 5 Stars

"This cozy, neat and welcoming apartment is walking distance from Santa Maria And Campo Di Marte train stations. You could also walk to Piazza dei Duomo and many other attractions such as piazza de Michael Angelo. It was the perfect home base equipped with cooking tools. There were two supermarkets right around the corner. Daniela is incredibly welcoming and provides directions (along with map) and was even so kind as to welcome us with our first bottle of wine in Italy! Thank you so much!"

3. Chillout Bungalow | Thailand

This community of bungalows is located on a stretch of beach only accessible by longtail boat from Krabi or the ferry that goes between Krabi and Phi Phi. This is a tight knit community where you truly feel like you are on the set of a backpacker movie. You are thrust deep into it here and very few experiences will have you feeling this much like an insider. The best part about it is that it is only $20 per night.

Our Review on Airbnb - 5 Stars

"The Chill out Bungalow lived up to its namesake. Here, you will find other travelers that are just low key, content and just all around chill. The Bungalow itself was perfect getaway from the norm. No overindulging, just everything you needed. It was very clean and the mosquito net worked like a charm. The fan was more than enough to keep the place cool! We used blankets each night there! Everyone in this little community was just amazing. So friendly and so CHILL! No hustle and bustle, no pushyness, no pressure. The fire show is awesome! Front row seats watching the performers and then sharing a drink or chat with them! So cool! Thank you so much for sharing your community with us!"

2. Bungalow En Bios | Martinique

Bungalow en Bios is a wonderful escape with a breathtaking view. Gerard is incredibly kind and welcoming. He offered us food from his home our first night there because he knew it would be difficult for us to find food at the late hour and we had just gotten in from traveling. The cabin is unique and completely private.

Our Review on Airbnb - 5 Stars

"This bungalow was INCREDIBLE. Cozy, clean, fully stocked with AMAZING views of ocean and volcano. 15 minute drive to Wahoo beach cafe which we recommend for a delicious drink on the beach! This family was so kind and welcoming and we had everything we needed. Gerard even offered us dinner our first night which was huge because many things around were closed by that time. It's about 50 minute drive from FDF."

1. Hideout Bali | Indonesia

This is by far the most unique and inspiring Airbnb we have ever visited. It is an eco friendly bamboo home in the jungle that is powered by a water wheel sitting on the nearby river. It is remote but takes your adventure to the next level. You will not have to worry about food as the host Wayan will cook meals for a very reasonable price. You MUST try the banana pancakes. :)

Our Review on Airbnb - 5 Stars

"This place was a dream. It rained heavily each afternoon and we still felt like we were in an oasis. The set up is so very thoughtful, from the speaker that plugs into your phone for tunes, to the lunch and dinner menu that is prepared and provided by Wayan himself, to the board games, bug spray and kitchen utensils provided. They even provide free rental of a motorbike. The staff, led by Wayan is so incredibly friendly and accommodating. Wayan cooked us delicious banana pancakes each morning which was not included and was still so gracious for the tip. His food from the dinner menu is EXCEPTIONAL and some of the best we had in Bali. This was so convenient not to have to venture out or fend for ourselves in the kitchen. All for an incredible "Bali" price. The sounds of the river are loud but calming. We fell asleep listening to it each night. Be careful exploring! Slippery when wet! ;) Alena was incredibly responsive all throughout our stay. Anything we needed, she had answers and fast. She was a dream. The seclusion was different for us. Felt a bit out of sorts late at night in the wilderness being two people from the city, but there's nothing to fear as the entire community is incredibly friendly and very respectful of your privacy! Main road and restaurant with a great mountain view within walking distance provided a great excuse to get out and explore the area which is littered with wildlife (ducks and dogs mostly) and beautiful rice fields. The Hideout itself....breathtaking. It's absolutely stunning, including the garden. Thank you Wayan for all of your hard work maintaining it! Thank you Ali for everything! We can not wait to go back!"

That's it guys! Please do tell us what you think! We hope this inspires you! Until next time, Travel Bugsss.
